The EU’s new tobacco policy which is designed to encourage public health will in fact have the opposite affect, with millions being subjected to their ongoing smoking addiction which subsequently can cause death.
Its been predicted that the likely toll of “tobacco” will amount to one- billion lives lost worldwide. The World Health Organization states that smokers have the knowledge of the spectrum of tobacco-related disease and that inhaling on cigarettes thousands of times over decades can lead to catastrophic outcomes. The associated harm of non-combustible tobacco and nicotine delivery products is in the scale of one percent that of smoking. However, with all this in mind the new policy guidelines by the EU barely dabble with lethal, addictive cigarettes while banning products that have been shown to help smokers quit.
