New Queensland Law puts e-cigarettes under the same restrictions as traditional cigarettes
What do vapers think of the Queensland State Parliament’s new restriction on the sale and use of electronic cigarettes?
eCigarettes do not contain tobacco and do not produce smoke yet the Queensland Parliament voted on Wednesday to prohibit the sale and supply of electronic cigarettes to children, (which is a good thing) but also restrict their advertising and display at retail shops and banned their use in outdoor and smoke-free places from January 1, 2015.
Health Minister Lawrence Springborg was reported to say the changes were in line with community expectations.
Queensland vapers and smokers who which to make the switch to electronic cigarettes will from January next year, be forced to use their ecigarettes in smoking deemed public places and be resulting forced to take in second hand smoke from the smokers of traditional cigarettes being use around them. Is this step backwards, forcing ex-smokers back into the smoking areas?
