Expert Reaction to Alarmist Survey on Teenage Use of eCigarettes
Widely reported in the media a new survey on the Associations between e-cigarette access and smoking and drinking behaviours in teenagers, “showed one in five teenagers had tried or bought e-cigarettes“.
The press release circulated by the researchers concluded e-cigarettes were the “alcopops of the nicotine world” and need tough regulation and controls.
Clive Bates, well known independent 'voice of reason' on e-cigarettes and recent Director General with the Welsh Government, gives his examination of the implications of the survey.
